Located in Tickfaw, LA, Food for Families / Food for Seniors is a community-focused initiative by Catholic Charities Archdiocese of New Orleans dedicated to providing essential food assistance to eligible seniors through monthly nutritional food boxes. Each carefully curated box contains nutritious items such as canned meats, a variety of vegetables and fruits, breakfast cereals, a block of American cheese, pasta or rice, shelf-stable milk, and more, ensuring seniors receive balanced meals. In addition to food distribution, we empower our participants with practical nutritional education, offering guidance on healthy eating habits, budgeting for groceries, and easy-to-make recipes that utilize our provided commodities. Our mission is to nourish the body and uplift the spirit, making a tangible difference in the lives of seniors who need it most.
