Located in Walker, LA, the Nurse Family Partnership-Region 9B MIECHV program, part of the Louisiana Department of Health’s Bureau of Family Health, offers a no-cost, voluntary service dedicated to enhancing the well-being of pregnant women and parents with young children. Through personalized support and coaching from registered nurses and parent educators, families receive invaluable education and guidance tailored to their unique needs. Our trained professionals meet families where they are, either in their homes or in preferred locations, and provide assistance in areas such as health education, positive parenting skills, and goal-setting. Participating families benefit from improved economic self-sufficiency, early identification of developmental delays, and enhanced child health and development, all aimed at empowering them to achieve their personal aspirations and build a brighter future for their children.
