Diabetes HELP is dedicated to enhancing the health and quality of life for Louisiana Medicaid recipients battling diabetes. Based in Westlake, LA, our program offers comprehensive diabetes self-management education, empowering participants with essential skills in a supportive group environment. Through collaboration with licensed pharmacists, healthcare providers, and fellow participants, individuals gain critical insights into managing their condition, including nutrition, physical activity, and recognizing symptoms of altered blood sugar levels. Our educational sessions are designed to complement, not replace, regular physician care, and are rooted in the respected framework established by the Diabetes Initiative of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
