Located in Bowie, MD, the Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP) offers a supportive, one-year journey designed to help participants make meaningful changes to their health. Through small group classroom sessions, we provide essential health and nutrition education, focusing on the vital areas of healthy eating, increased physical activity, and effective weight management. Our goal is to empower each participant to achieve a sustainable weight loss of 5-7% and engage in 150 minutes of physical activity each week, ultimately fostering a healthier lifestyle and reducing the risk of diabetes.
