Located in Brandywine, MD, the Good News Community Kitchen's Emergency Meal Units program is dedicated to providing immediate food assistance to families facing urgent food insecurity. Our program aims to alleviate hunger by delivering essential nutritional support through our carefully packed emergency meal units. Each unit includes a 1lb bag of rice, two cans of beans—either butter or black beans totaling seven servings—and 1lb of whole grain old-fashioned oats, helping to meet the basic dietary needs of those in crisis. Families in need can easily request an emergency meal unit by filling out our online form. Upon registration, participants will receive meal kits bi-weekly, ensuring a steady supply of food relief.
