Located in Chevy Chase, MD, Grocery Plus is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of seniors aged 60 and over by providing essential food assistance that includes nutritious groceries and fresh produce. This program combines the USDA Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) with the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, delivering monthly packages of 30-40 lbs. of healthy food directly to eligible seniors in the District of Columbia. In addition, during the summer, participants receive vouchers that can be redeemed for fresh produce at local farmers markets. To access these valuable resources, seniors need to verify their identity, age, and DC residency during their first visit. At Grocery Plus, we strive to support our senior community with the nutrition they need to lead active, healthy lives.
