Located in Chevy Chase, MD, Simple Cooking with Heart/SNAP-Ed is dedicated to empowering SNAP-eligible families in Washington, DC through engaging culinary and nutrition education. Our program consists of four-week classes designed to enhance cooking skills and nutritional understanding, ensuring participants can make healthy, informed food choices. Each household enrolled in the program receives two complimentary bags of home-delivered produce, making it easier to incorporate fresh ingredients into their meals. Currently, we offer our educational sessions virtually, allowing us to reach those in need more effectively and provide essential food assistance in a supportive and accessible manner.
