The Grocery Assistance Program (GAP) in District Heights, MD, is dedicated to providing essential food assistance to individuals who are unable to shop for themselves. Through our volunteer-supported service, clients receive tailored grocery shopping and delivery, ensuring access to healthy food options without the burden of costs for the service itself. Clients only pay for the groceries purchased by their dedicated volunteers, who also assist with putting away items if needed. GAP is specifically designed for those receiving home-delivered meals, as well as seniors who are aging in place and require additional support with grocery shopping.
