At Simple Cooking with Heart/SNAP-Ed in Greenbelt, MD, we are dedicated to empowering SNAP-eligible residents of DC through comprehensive culinary and nutrition education. Our program, hosted by the YMCA, offers a transformative four-week curriculum designed to enhance cooking skills and promote healthier eating habits. Participants enjoy the added benefit of receiving two free bags of fresh, home-delivered produce, ensuring they have access to nutritious ingredients while learning. Currently, our classes are available virtually, making it convenient for everyone to engage and benefit from our mission of fostering a healthier community through food assistance and education.
