Emergency Meal Units, offered by the Good News Community Kitchen in Laurel, MD, is dedicated to providing immediate food assistance to families facing urgent food insecurity. Our program supplies essential dry goods aimed at meeting basic nutritional needs, including a 1 lb bag of rice, two cans of either butter beans or black beans (providing seven servings), and a 1 lb package of whole grain old fashioned oats. We understand the critical importance of access to nutritious food, which is why we ensure registered families receive a meal kit bi-weekly to help alleviate food scarcity.
