Simple Cooking with Heart, a program of the YMCA in Montgomery Village, MD, is dedicated to empowering SNAP-eligible residents with vital culinary and nutrition education. Our comprehensive classes, lasting four weeks, provide attendees with practical cooking skills and nutritional knowledge aimed at fostering healthy eating habits. To support families in their journey towards better health, we also deliver two free bags of fresh produce directly to their homes during the program. Currently, all classes are offered virtually, making it accessible for all participants to enhance their cooking abilities in a supportive, engaging environment.
