Grocery Plus is dedicated to supporting seniors in Olney, MD by providing essential food assistance that promotes a healthy lifestyle. Through our program, which combines the USDA Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, we deliver monthly packages of 30-40 lbs. of nutritious groceries to seniors aged 60 and over who meet specific income guidelines. Participants also have the opportunity to choose fresh produce and pantry items to enhance their diets. During the summer months, we further enrich our offerings by providing farmers market vouchers, allowing seniors to enjoy local produce at participating markets. To access our vital food pantry services, seniors need to bring proper identification and proof of DC residency on their first visit.
