Basic Needs Assistance is dedicated to providing immediate support to residents in Olney, MD, and southern Montgomery County facing financial challenges. Our mission is to prevent homelessness and food insecurity by offering essential services such as rental assistance to avoid eviction, utility payments to prevent disconnection, and prescription assistance with a valid physician’s prescription. We also deliver emergency food directly to households in need, providing three-day supplies to nourish families in crisis. In addition to these critical services, we connect individuals and families with additional resources to help them regain stability.
