Grocery Plus in Potomac, MD, is dedicated to supporting seniors in maintaining active lifestyles through essential food assistance. Our program, a collaboration of the USDA Commodity Supplemental Food Program and the Senior Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program, caters specifically to individuals aged 60 and over who reside in the District of Columbia and meet specific income guidelines. Each month, eligible participants receive a package containing 30-40 lbs. of nutritious groceries aimed at meeting their basic nutritional needs. Additionally, during the summer, we enhance our offerings with farmers market vouchers, allowing seniors to select fresh produce from local markets. For your first visit, please bring documentation verifying your age, identification, and DC residency.
