At the heart of Waldorf, MD, Emergency Meal Units, part of the Good News Community Kitchen, is dedicated to supporting families facing food insecurity by delivering essential food assistance in times of need. Our program provides tailored emergency meal kits designed to meet basic nutritional needs, consisting of a 1 lb bag of rice, 2 cans of beans, and 1 lb of whole grain old-fashioned oats. Families identified as in urgent need can easily request these emergency food supplies by completing our online form, ensuring they receive a meal kit every two weeks to alleviate hunger. We prioritize compassion and accessibility, requiring just a valid state-issued identification card for registration, so that together we can address food scarcity in our community with care and urgency.
