The Commodity Supplemental Food Program for Seniors (CSFP) in Faribault, MN, is dedicated to enhancing the nutritional health of seniors by providing essential food assistance. As a USDA-supported initiative administered by the Minnesota Department of Health, CSFP operates through Channel One, serving thirteen counties in southeast Minnesota with over 50 accessible distribution sites, including food shelves, senior centers, and senior apartment complexes. Each month, participants receive a thoughtfully curated food package that includes staples like American cheese, canned fruits and vegetables, juices, milk, canned meat, cereal, rice or pasta, and plant-based proteins such as peanut butter and beans, along with educational resources on healthy eating.
