Located in Arnold, MO, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship from the Allegheny Mountain Institute is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. This transformative program offers a robust, hands-on education centered on organic farming, food justice, and ecological practices, all at no cost to promote greater accessibility. Fellows engage in a six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they learn to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement innovative health education, and empower communities through school gardens and farmers’ markets. Following their training, participants commit to a Community Action Year, collaborating with local non-profits to enhance access to nutritious food and promote food literacy.
