Located in Neosho, MO, the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Program, offered by the Newton County Health Department, is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of low-income pregnant women, new mothers, infants, and children up to five years old who are at nutritional risk. Through our comprehensive services, participants receive tailored supplemental food packages, nutrition education, and health care referrals aimed at fostering healthier families. Our program emphasizes breastfeeding support and provides essential resources such as lactation consultation, nutrition classes, growth monitoring, and screenings for lead poisoning and anemia.
