The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Brandon, MS, cultivates a new generation of leaders dedicated to advancing a food system that is socially, environmentally, and economically equitable. We provide comprehensive training and support to our Fellows, empowering them to become advocates and educators in organic food systems. Participants engage in hands-on experiences, working on a market-style farm, facilitating health education sessions, managing community gardens, and promoting food literacy initiatives in schools. Throughout the six-month fellowship at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows develop essential skills and collaborate with regional non-profit organizations to increase access to healthy foods through innovative distribution channels and support for farmers markets. We prioritize accessibility by offering this transformative education free of charge, ensuring that passionate individuals can join us in our mission to foster a just food system.
