About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Cleveland, MS, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of leaders committed to creating a just and sustainable food system. Through a comprehensive six-month immersive program at the Allegheny Farm, selected Fellows engage in hands-on organic food system education and develop essential skills to advocate for social, environmental, and economic equity. Our fellowship emphasizes accessibility, offering tuition-free training that empowers participants to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement community health education, maintain school and community gardens, and enhance food literacy in local curricula. By working with regional non-profits, Fellows will not only support farmers markets and direct-to-consumer programs but also mentor aspiring change-makers during a transformative Community Action Year. Interested applicants should submit their applications by March to join this impactful experience running from May to October.
