The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Collins, MS, cultivates the next generation of educators and advocates dedicated to building a just and sustainable food system. Our program empowers fellows through hands-on training in organic agriculture, food justice, and community engagement, offering a unique opportunity to grow and distribute diverse crops on a market-style farm, establish school and community gardens, and integrate food and ecological education into local initiatives. We focus on increasing access to healthy foods while supporting vital programs like farmers markets and direct-to-consumer models. With no tuition costs, our Fellowship promotes inclusivity, encouraging a broad range of participants to join us in shaping a healthier food future. Selected fellows engage in a six-month immersive residency followed by a year of impactful community action, working in partnership with regional non-profits to implement their knowledge. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
