About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Diberville, MS, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators committed to building a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Through an inclusive training program, we empower Fellows with organic food system education, offering tuition-free access to foster broad participation. Our Fellows engage in hands-on learning at our community farm, where they grow and distribute diverse crops, develop local distribution channels, and integrate food and ecological literacy into educational settings. They also support community gardens, farmers markets, and direct-to-consumer initiatives, aiming to enhance access to nutritious food for all. With a six-month immersive experience followed by a Community Action Year collaborating with regional non-profits, our program is a transformative journey that prepares participants to effect real change in their communities. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship running from May to October.
