Located in Florence, MS, Stewpot’s Food Pantry is dedicated to alleviating food insecurity by providing vital food assistance to our neighbors in need, including those living in homes, hotels, encampments, or on the streets. We proudly serve households within Hinds County, ensuring that no one is turned away, and while we require an ID and proof of residence, we remain committed to meeting urgent needs. Our 'travel bags' cater to individuals without cooking or refrigeration options, and we encourage appointments so we can best prepare for daily needs, while still addressing emergencies. Our pantry thrives on the generosity of individuals, congregations, civic groups, and businesses, along with our partnerships with the Mississippi Food Network, Extra Table, Gleaners, and Hub for the Hungry. Volunteers play a vital role in our mission by helping shoppers, sorting donations, and organizing food drives to keep our shelves stocked.
