At the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Fulton, MS, we are dedicated to training and empowering individuals to become impactful advocates for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Our program is designed to ensure accessibility, as we do not charge tuition for our comprehensive Farm and Food Study. Participants will engage in hands-on education about organic food systems and have the opportunity to work with community partners to grow and distribute diversified crops, implement health-oriented educational sessions, and maintain gardens that enrich local neighborhoods. Our Fellows will learn to integrate food and ecological literacy into schools, support local farmers markets, and enhance access to healthy foods through innovative distribution channels. Over six months, selected Fellows immerse themselves in experiential training at our farm campus, followed by a Community Action Year, where they put their skills into practice with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March each year, and the fellowship experience runs from May to October.
