About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Greenville, MS, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in sustainable food systems. We empower Fellows through comprehensive training focused on social, environmental, and economic justice within the food landscape. Our Fellowship offers a tuition-free program that promotes inclusivity and accessibility, providing in-depth organic food system education. Throughout their six-month residency at our campus, selected Fellows engage in hands-on learning experiences that involve growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing health-focused educational initiatives, and supporting community gardens. They also play a vital role in fostering food and ecological literacy in schools, enhancing farmers markets, and improving access to healthy foods. After their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to apply their knowledge and advocate for equitable food systems. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the fellowship experience taking place from May to October.
