About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Greenwood, MS, is dedicated to nurturing future leaders who advocate for a just and sustainable food system. This empowering program offers hands-on training and education in organic food systems, emphasizing social, environmental, and economic justice. Without tuition fees, we prioritize accessibility for all aspiring Fellows. Participants engage in a six-month experiential residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where they learn to cultivate diverse crops, support community and school gardens, and develop food literacy programs. Following their residency, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profit organizations to implement innovative solutions that expand access to healthy food and strengthen local food systems. Applications are accepted until March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October each year.
