The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship based in Grenada, MS is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through hands-on training and immersive learning experiences, we empower Fellows to become knowledgeable educators and community leaders focused on organic food systems. Our program offers comprehensive education on growing and distributing diverse crops, maintaining community gardens, and implementing innovative health initiatives. We also foster the integration of food and ecological literacy in schools and support local farmers' markets and direct-to-consumer sales to enhance access to healthy foods. Selected Fellows participate in a six-month experiential learning program at our farm, followed by a year of community action where they collaborate with regional non-profits to put their skills into practice. We believe in the importance of accessibility, which is why we do not charge tuition for our program. Applications are due by March, with the fellowship experience occurring from May to October.
