The Living with Type 2 Diabetes Program in Hernando, MS, is dedicated to empowering those recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes through a comprehensive and supportive approach over a 12-month period. This free program, available in both English and Spanish, offers participants an array of valuable resources, including six informative e-booklets tailored to guide individuals on their diabetes management journey. Monthly e-newsletters provide seasonal tips and highlight local community events to enhance participants' understanding of diabetes. Enrolled individuals who share their phone numbers can also join our interactive monthly 'Ask the Experts' Q&A series, allowing them to engage directly with ADA experts and gain insights on managing their condition, including the important connection between diabetes and heart health. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where participants are equipped to thrive with diabetes.
