The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Iuka, MS, is dedicated to cultivating advocates and educators for a just food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Through our immersive and experiential program, we provide selected Fellows with the unique opportunity to engage in organic food system education, grow and distribute diverse crops on a market-style farm, and initiate community-driven projects such as establishing school gardens and supporting local farmers markets. Our Fellowship is accessible to all, as we do not charge tuition, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder passionate individuals from joining our mission. Over six transformative months at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows receive hands-on training and support before transitioning into a Community Action Year, where they apply their skills in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. Applications are accepted until March, with experiences typically taking place from May to October, making a lasting impact on local communities and beyond.
