Located in Jackson, MS, Stewpot’s Food Pantry is dedicated to combating food insecurity by providing vital emergency food assistance to those in need, including individuals living in homes, hotels, encampments, or on the streets. Serving only households in Hinds County, we ensure that everyone can access support, asking only for an ID and proof of residence, but turning no one away. For those without cooking or refrigeration capabilities, we offer convenient travel bags filled with essential items. In response to the high demand, we encourage scheduled appointments to better prepare for daily needs, while still accommodating emergencies. Our pantry is made possible through the generous contributions of individuals, congregations, civic groups, and businesses, along with invaluable partnerships with organizations such as the Mississippi Food Network, Extra Table, Gleaners, and Hub for the Hungry. We welcome volunteers who assist in various capacities, from helping shoppers to organizing food drives that keep our shelves stocked.
