The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Kosciusko, MS is dedicated to nurturing leaders who advocate for a food system that prioritizes social equity, environmental sustainability, and economic viability. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship empowers participants through comprehensive organic food system education without charging tuition, ensuring accessibility for all. During their six-month immersive experience at the Allegheny Farm Campus, selected Fellows learn to cultivate and distribute diverse crops, lead health-focused educational sessions, maintain community and school gardens, and integrate food and ecological literacy into local initiatives. Following their training, Fellows embark on a Community Action Year, partnering with regional non-profits to extend the impact of their education. Applications are welcomed annually, with a deadline in March, providing aspiring advocates the chance to create significant change in the food landscape from May through October.
