The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Laurel, MS, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a fair and sustainable food system. Through our innovative program, we empower selected Fellows to engage in comprehensive training, focusing on organic food system education and practical applications that promote social, environmental, and economic justice. During a transformative six-month experiential residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows learn hands-on skills to grow and distribute diverse crops, lead community gardens, and implement educational initiatives in health care and schools. Afterward, the Community Action Year allows them to partner with regional non-profits to enhance food accessibility and promote food literacy. We strive to make this fellowship accessible to all by not charging tuition, and we invite passionate individuals to apply each year by March, with the enriching experience spanning from May to October.
