About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Lexington, MS, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Our program offers an exciting six-month experiential residential study at our Allegheny Farm Campus, where selected Fellows gain hands-on training in organic food systems and community engagement. Our mission is to empower individuals to educate and inspire communities by promoting diverse, healthy food access through initiatives such as school gardens, farmers markets, and community food coalitions. We foster practical learning opportunities that integrate food and ecological literacy into educational settings, helping to build stronger food systems that are accessible to all. The Fellowship is tuition-free to ensure that those passionate about social, environmental, and economic justice can participate, with applications open until March each year for experiences running from May to October.
