Located in Magee, MS, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship nurtures passionate individuals to become advocates for an equitable and sustainable food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this unique program offers comprehensive organic food system education at the Allegheny Farm in Highland County, VA, with no tuition fees to ensure access for all aspiring Fellows. Participants engage in a six-month immersive experience where they learn to grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, maintain school gardens, and support local farmers markets. The Fellowship empowers individuals to integrate food and ecological literacy into educational settings and to enhance community food access through partnerships with regional non-profits.
