The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Natchez, MS is dedicated to fostering a just, sustainable food system through education and advocacy. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this program empowers Fellows to become informed leaders who can promote social and environmental equity in local agriculture. Participants benefit from a fully-funded, six-month residential experience at the Allegheny Farm, where they gain hands-on training in organic farming practices, food literacy, and community engagement. Following their fellowship, participants embark on a Community Action Year, applying their skills in partnership with regional non-profit organizations to enhance food access, support farmers markets, and develop educational initiatives. We strive to create accessible pathways for all individuals invested in building a healthier food system and encourage interested candidates to apply before the March deadline for this transformative experience running from May to October.
