The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Nettleton, MS, empowers aspiring leaders to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through our holistic, tuition-free program, Fellows receive hands-on training in organic food system education at our Allegheny Farm. Participants engage in meaningful projects such as growing and distributing diverse crops, implementing health-focused educational sessions, maintaining community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in schools. Our initiative also supports farmers markets and develops vital distribution channels to ensure increased access to healthy foods. With a six-month experiential study followed by a Community Action Year, selected Fellows gain invaluable skills while partnering with local non-profits to effect real change. We invite passionate individuals to apply by March each year for this transformative experience that runs from May to October.
