The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Perkinston, MS, is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates for a just and sustainable food system. Through comprehensive training, hands-on experiences, and a commitment to organic education, our program empowers fellows to engage actively in local food initiatives. This fellowship focuses on building practical skills that enhance food access and community health, enabling participants to grow diversified crops, implement innovative educational sessions, and maintain community gardens. Our upcoming cohort will embark on a transformative six-month experience at Allegheny Farm, culminating in a Community Action Year that fosters collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. We eliminate tuition costs to ensure this vital education is accessible, welcoming applications each year before March, with the fellowship experience running from May to October.
