About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship

The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Pontotoc, MS empowers future leaders to advocate for socially, environmentally, and economically just food systems. Through hands-on training and education in organic farming, our Fellows engage in meaningful work such as growing diversified crops on market-style farms, leading health-focused educational sessions, and nurturing community gardens. This transformative six-month program, followed by a Community Action Year, allows Fellows to apply their knowledge through partnerships with local non-profit organizations, enhancing access to healthy foods and supporting community food initiatives. By offering this Fellowship free of tuition, we strive to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to contribute to a just and sustainable food future. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the experience taking place from May to October.
