About Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC)
The Women, Infants and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC) in Pontotoc, MS, is dedicated to fostering healthy nutrition for low-income pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, along with infants and children up to five years old. Our mission is to empower families through vital nutrition education, access to supplemental foods, breastfeeding promotion and support, and connections to essential health care services. To receive WIC benefits, applicants are required to apply in person at their local county health department or WIC clinic. We understand the challenges new parents face, which is why we offer a 60-day grace period for newborns to be seen at our clinic. We warmly invite families to reach out to their local WIC clinics to discover how we can assist them in nurturing healthier generations.
