The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Richton, MS is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of advocates and educators in sustainable agriculture and food justice. Through a comprehensive, hands-on training program, Fellows are empowered to promote a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic equity. Participants engage in vital initiatives such as growing and distributing diversified crops, implementing community health education, maintaining school gardens, and enhancing food literacy in local schools. Our Fellowship does not require tuition, ensuring broad accessibility for aspiring leaders. Over a transformative six-month residency at our campus, followed by a Community Action Year, selected Fellows collaborate with regional non-profits to apply their newfound knowledge and skills, creating a lasting impact on food access and community resilience. Applications are accepted until March each year for experiences running from May to October.
