Located in Ridgeland, MS, Stewpot’s Food Pantry offers essential food assistance to individuals and families facing food insecurity throughout Hinds County. We understand the challenges our neighbors encounter, whether they reside in homes, hotels, encampments, or on the streets. To ensure that we meet the ever-growing demand, we require an ID and proof of residence, such as a utility bill or lease, but no one is ever turned away. For those without cooking or refrigeration capabilities, we provide travel bags filled with nutritious options. We prioritize scheduled appointments for a more efficient service, while also being ready to assist with emergency needs. Our pantry is sustained by the generosity of the community, including donations from individuals, congregations, civic organizations, and our valuable partnerships with the Mississippi Food Network, Extra Table, Gleaners, and Hub for the Hungry. We also welcome volunteers who help with various tasks, from assisting shoppers and sorting donations to organizing food drives that keep our shelves stocked.
