The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Senatobia, MS, is dedicated to cultivating a new generation of advocates for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through this immersive program, sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, we empower our Fellows with practical education on organic food systems and community engagement. Without tuition costs, we ensure that our Fellowship is accessible to all aspiring leaders in food equity. Over a six-month experience, selected Fellows engage in hands-on learning at our farm, where they grow diverse crops, facilitate innovative health care education, maintain community gardens, and promote food literacy in local schools. In their subsequent Community Action Year, they put their training into practice by collaborating with regional non-profits to enhance food access through farmers markets and direct-to-consumer channels. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the experiential learning phase taking place from May to October.
