About Farm & Food Systems Fellowship
The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Tylertown, MS, is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of leaders committed to creating a just and sustainable food system. By sponsoring and training passionate individuals, we empower fellows to advocate for social, environmental, and economic equity in agriculture. Our program offers comprehensive organic food system education, preparing fellows to engage with local communities through initiatives such as growing and distributing diverse crops, supporting community and school gardens, and implementing innovative health education sessions. We promote accessibility by offering this fellowship at no tuition cost, ensuring that all interested participants can join. Throughout a transformative six-month residential experience followed by a Community Action Year, fellows apply their training in collaboration with regional non-profits, actively working to enhance food access and foster food literacy. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the immersive fellowship experience typically running from May to October.
