The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Wesson, MS is dedicated to cultivating advocates for a just and sustainable food system. We sponsor and empower Fellows through comprehensive training and hands-on experiences designed to enhance their understanding of organic food practices, community engagement, and ecological literacy. Our program enables participants to lead transformative initiatives such as growing diversified crops on market-style farms, managing school and community gardens, implementing health education programs, and enhancing access to healthy foods across communities. Over a six-month immersive residency at our Allegheny Farm Campus, followed by a Community Action Year, Fellows actively collaborate with local non-profit organizations to apply their knowledge and foster positive changes. We prioritize accessibility by offering this Fellowship without tuition fees and encourage prospective applicants to submit their applications by March for the experience running from May to October.
