The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in West Point, MS, offers a transformative opportunity for aspiring advocates committed to creating a socially, environmentally, and economically just food system. Sponsored by the Allegheny Mountain Institute, this fellowship provides comprehensive organic food system education without tuition fees, ensuring accessibility for all. Over a six-month immersive experience at our Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows participate in hands-on learning and later engage in a Community Action Year that connects their training with impactful work alongside regional non-profit organizations. Our dedicated fellows not only learn how to cultivate and distribute diversified crops but also implement educational sessions focused on innovative healthcare, maintain community gardens, and teach food and ecological literacy in schools. By supporting local farmers markets and enhancing access to healthy food, our fellowship cultivates the next generation of food system leaders ready to make meaningful change in their communities.
