The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Absarokee, MT, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to serve as advocates for a just, sustainable food system. Through our comprehensive program, we provide Fellows with essential education in organic farming and food systems, ensuring accessibility by charging no tuition. Participants engage in hands-on experiences at the Allegheny Farm, where they can develop skills in growing and distributing a variety of crops, conducting educational health sessions, nurturing community gardens, and enhancing food literacy in educational settings. Additionally, Fellows support farmers markets and foster direct-to-consumer initiatives to expand access to nutritious foods, while collaborating with local non-profits during their Community Action Year. This transformative fellowship enables participants to make a lasting impact on their communities and cultivate a vision for an equitable food future.
