Located in Belt, MT, the Farm & Food Systems Fellowship is dedicated to cultivating a just and sustainable food system by training and empowering individuals who are passionate about making a difference. Through a tuition-free experience, this fellowship provides hands-on education in organic farming and community-based practices, enabling Fellows to advocate for social, environmental, and economic justice in agriculture. Participants engage in a six-month, immersive program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they can grow and distribute diverse crops, implement innovative health education, and maintain community gardens. The fellowship fosters collaboration with regional non-profits to develop channels for increased access to nutritious food, support local farmers, and promote food literacy in schools. By mentoring future cohorts and participating in community food initiatives, Fellows play a vital role in transforming their communities through sustainable food practices. Applications are accepted until March each year, with the program running from May to October.
