The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship, based in Big Timber, MT, is dedicated to fostering a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through comprehensive, hands-on education, we empower Fellows to become knowledgeable advocates and educators in sustainable food practices. Our unique program offers no tuition cost to ensure accessibility for all aspiring leaders in the food industry. Throughout their six-month experiential residency at the Allegheny Farm Campus, Fellows engage in diverse activities including growing and distributing crops, implementing health education sessions, maintaining community gardens, and promoting food literacy in schools. Following their training, Fellows participate in a Community Action Year, where they collaborate with local non-profits to enhance food access and support community-driven food initiatives.
