The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Billings, MT, is dedicated to training and empowering individuals to advocate for a food system that prioritizes social, environmental, and economic justice. Through immersive education in organic food systems, this fellowship promotes accessibility by eliminating tuition costs. Selected Fellows participate in a six-month experiential learning program at the Allegheny Farm Campus, where they engage in a variety of meaningful activities, including growing and distributing diversified crops, leading health education sessions, maintaining school and community gardens, and enhancing food literacy initiatives. Additionally, Fellows support local farmers markets and work to create innovative distribution channels, ensuring that healthy food is accessible to all. After their training, participants continue their impact through a Community Action Year, collaborating with regional non-profits to implement their skills and knowledge. Applications must be submitted by March of each year for this enriching experience that runs from May to October.
