The Farm & Food Systems Fellowship in Box Elder, MT, nurtures the next generation of advocates and educators dedicated to building a fair and sustainable food system. This immersive program empowers Fellows with the knowledge and skills needed to create positive change through organic food system education and community engagement. Participants engage in hands-on experiences, such as growing and distributing diverse crops, running educational sessions to promote food and ecological literacy, and supporting local farmers markets. The Fellowship ensures accessibility by not charging tuition, allowing everyone to benefit regardless of their background. Over six months at our farm campus, Fellows receive in-depth training before embarking on a Community Action Year, where they apply their learnings in collaboration with regional non-profit organizations. Interested individuals can submit their applications by March each year, with the program typically running from May to October.
